Description

This was taken last weekend in the Prehistoric Building at Kew Gardens in London, it's a fern that was abundant during the Jurassic Period.

Fortunately Kew have been able to keep this plant under control; no repeats of the disaster that was on TV in the 90's. I think it was a documentary about an island where they had extracted DNA from a mosquitoes stuck in Amber, I think it was presented by Richard Attenborough...

Exif Data...

By the way, is there any other Exif data that people would like to see?

Camera: Canon EOS 400D
Lens: EF100mm f/2.8 Macro USM
Shutter Speed: 1/60
Aperture Value: 4.0
Metering Mode: Evaluative Metering
ISO Speed: 200
Flash Type: Did not Fire

Nice use of selective focus....looks a little flat, a little PS work may help.

Yes, it is a little flat...in fact it's completely different when I view the local image on my PC - I must be doing something wrong somewhere...I'll try again soon. Normal service will return shortly.

Ok, that's done it I think - slight mistake when exporting the image from Lightroom.

Doesn't help that my network connection is painfully slow tonight!

Nice DOF and colors, still looks a bit blurry at the focal point though. I think you should really exploit some cropping scenarios on this to make it shine more. Perhaps a bit more contrast as well?
